If you get your skin scratched (Ragar lagna) with the road or wall or similar material, simply dip the brown paper in the vinegar (sirka) available in your kitchen and put it on the scratched place. It will give immediate relief from pain due to
scratches on the skin. Vinegar is a good antiseptic. If you don’t find vinegar in your kitchen than take some henna, add water in it and put on the scratched skin. It is also a good antiseptic. Sometime we do not care for the skin wounds and they get worst. Doing simple things can reduce the chances of skin infection.

Burning (Jalay ka Ilaj)

Knowing what to do when you get hurt with fire while working in the kitchen is very important. Some people get burns with hot water. Due care is required in handling fire and hot water. However, if you face a fire accident and see someone having burnt skin, put cold water on the affected parts. If you find ice cubes, make their pack and put on the burnt body part. It will reduce the burning pain and provide relief. If the burned skin is smaller in size, you may also lap some toothpaste over the wound. If the water bubbles appear on the skin, you need to puncture it with hot needle. After that you need to make an ointment of Baryta water (choonay ka pani) and coconut oil (narial ka tale). Mix the two and shake well to make it like an ointment. Now paste this ointment on the affected area and the burns will disappear very soon and it will also provide relief from pain and aflame. This kitchen cure is affective in hot water burns, oil burns and wounds of firearm/gun powder etc.

 Cuts
In case of having cuts on the body parts with sharp stuff such as knife, wash it with boiled water or mix salt in water and then wash the cut. If bleeding does not stop, paste lemon juice on it. If the cut is caused by an iron thing, put bandage of salt on it. It may irritate you for a while but it will avoid infection and poisoning. If wound is deep and itching, than put six drops of Lavender oil in one cup of water. Dip the wound in it for ten minutes. Than dip the cotton in it and put on the cut wound.

You may also put bandage of honey (Shehad) over it. Honey is a very good natural tincture. It is good for wounds and very antiseptic. Honey has the power to heal the wounds in short time. Some herbal experts also suggest honey bandage for operation cuts healing due to its healing affects.

Insects are beneficial for human beings in many ways. But sometime these insects bite and enter sting in the body. Bee bite can lead to swelling, itching, pain and even unconsciousness in some cases. If you are bitten  by a bee or insect, need not to worry. Kitchen food once again helps you to get immediate relief. Just put some vinegar on the wound with cotton. If the sting is kept inside, try to pull it with a catcher.

If the sting is penetrated deep and you are unable to get it out, take an onion, peel it, and crush it. Now make it hot and put bandage of this crushed onion on the insect sting or the place where the insect bitten. This is very effective way to get the sting out of the skin with ease.
